Recognizing that the field of information technology today is an effective medium in the aspect of information delivery, we are always sensitive and strive to further enhance the effectiveness of the website in line with the increasing use of information technology.

With this website, our desire to see an increase in public understanding and sensitivity in every aspect can be realized in line with the changing pace of the times.

It is the determination of the Department to cultivate widespread awareness among the people in all aspects as well as generate the formation of excellent human capital to play a role towards the formation of a glorious nation in achieving Vision 2020.

OBJECTIVE

1. Ensure that the approval rate for each program is not less than 90% for each semester

2. Strive to ensure that at least 25% of graduating students achieve a PNM of 3.00 or more for each program for each semester

 

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (JTMK) offer courses of study at the Diploma level. Since the January 1999 session, courses of study in the field of Information and Communication Technology have been placed under the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Following the restructuring of the Department of Polytechnic Studies and Community Colleges, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in 2007, the Department of Information and Communication Technology was established to offer courses of study in related fields.

In addition to full-time courses, the Department of Information and Communication Technology also offers part-time courses at the Diploma level.

The Department of Information and Communication Technology has five building blocks shared with the Department of Electrical Engineering consisting of an administration building, two blocks of lecture rooms and laboratories as well as workshops.

Sophisticated laboratories are able to apply the teaching and learning process in a "hands-on" to students.

The Hardware, Software, Multimedia/Hypermedia Lab, Data Communication Lab and Network Lab allow students to practice the basics of computers as well as the skills of designing hardware and software as well as computer network systems.

 

OBJECTIVE

To produce graduates in the field of Information Technology at the polytechnic, Ministry of Education Malaysia who have the knowledge, skills and attitude to adapt to new technological advances and challenges in the field of information technology.

INTRODUCTION

Commerce Department offers Diploma in Accountancy, Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance programmes.

Students who take these programmes will study several common core courses such as Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, Business Law and Statistics.

In ensuring the programmes offered aligns with recent developments in information technology, students are given the necessary exposure to business -related software applications.

Students at Commerce Department is equipped with practical skills; therefore, the students are required to undergo 6 months of industrial training at any company or government agency.

The teaching and learning process at Commerce Department is also aid with modern equipment and facilities.

Lectures are conducted systematically in 23 conducive lecture rooms and comfortable lecture halls.

In addition to the academic environment, the administration building of the Commerce Department also accommodate facilities such as conference rooms, resources corners and audio visuals that provide a good environment for its staff and students.

Commerce Department aims to:

1. Produce graduates with comprehensive knowledge and skills in business, accounting, logistics and supply chain management as well as Islamic banking and finance that combine all aspects of business and entrepreneurship studies.

2. Instil the discipline of academic knowledge and noble values ​​such as trust, responsible attitude, and self-reliance to produce graduates who are skilled and equipped with good morals that are in line with the National Education Philosophy.

3. Implement academic excellence by ensuring:

       a.The passing rate for each course is not less than 90% for each semester.

       b.That at least 25% of graduating students achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or more for each program and every semester.

 

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (JKM) is the largest department in the four main academic departments in this polytechnic. The department has a very skilled workforce size and is equipped with many good equipment and machinery. The department has a team of lecturers and staff that are working together to further the department in achieving its goal of producing semi-professional, energetic, innovative, and pro-active qualities in manufacturing, plant engineering, and textile engineering, along with a national vision to achieve the status of full industry by 2020. The department is fully committed on offering courses at the diploma level.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are to:

  1. Provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, to produce semi-skilled workers to meet the efficiency of needs of the country. 
  2. Develop learning, and critical and creative thinking skills to be able to address the challenges that are arising from the development of technology and knowledge culture. 
  3. Implement the integrated study programs that are set by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. 
  4. Develop attitudes and values based on the formation of a religious society, caring, disciplined, and highly competitive. 

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION 

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, PSP is one of the main departments that is important in carrying out its responsibility to provide exposure to electrical engineering knowledge towards students in order to produce skilled and competitive semi-professional graduates. JKE is led by the Head of Department and assisted by the Head of Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Communication), Head of Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Computer), Head of Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and a team of both skilled and experienced lecturers. The Department of Electrical Engineering also provides a conducive and holistic teaching and learning environment.

Among the facilities available in the Department of Electrical Engineering, there are Computer Equipment & Repair Laboratory, AutoCAD Laboratory, Electronics Laboratory, Electrical Principles Laboratory, Electrical Laboratory, Installation and Wiring Workshop, Fiber Optic and Networking Laboratory, Microprocessor Laboratory, Power Electrical Laboratory, Project Workshop, Robotic Center, Lecture Room, and Lecture Hall.
