This Diploma in Information Technology (Digital Technology) programme offers education and training in the field of computers, with a focus on information technology. Platform Technologies, Computing Foundation, Programming Essentials, Industry-Led Modules, and Industry Domain Clusters are the modules that the courses are divided into. Students can pursue a variety of occupations in the ICT field by taking advantage of the courses available.

Students will also get transferrable and diversified abilities that will enable them to adapt to emerging technologies as part of the programme.

Students are taught English for Digital Technology, Islamic Studies or Moral Education, Co-curriculum, and Inventive Problem Solving in addition to technical courses to help them enhance their soft skills. Graduates of this courses will be equipped to handle the difficulties of the world of computing technology since it emphasises self-directed learning and hands-on abilities.

 

There are 4 tracks that are offered in different polytechic colleges.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

SPM Leavers (Polytechnics Premier)

1. Malaysian Citizen
2. Have SPM or equivalent
3. Pass History (for SPM in 2013 and above)
4. Passed English
5. Obtained FIVE (5) credits in the following subjects: 
      a. Malay
      b. Mathematics
      c. Three (3) other subjects whose credits have not been taken into account

6. Candidates do not have a visual impairment (blindness), a hearing impairment (deafness), a speech impairment (muteness), a bodily disability (legs, hands, paralysis, etc.), or learning difficulties that make practical work difficult.

 

SPM Leavers (Polytechnics Konvensional/METrO)


1. Malaysian Citizen
2. Have SPM or equivalent
3. Passed Malay
4. Pass History (for SPM in 2013 and above)
5. Passed English
6. Obtained FIVE (5) credits in the following subjects:
      a. Mathematics
      b. Two (2) other subjects whose credits have not been taken into account
