Unit for Instructional Development and Multimedia (UIDM)

The Instructional Development and Multimedia Unit, formerly known as the Multimedia and Resource Centre, is led by the Unit Head and assisted by two Multimedia and Resource Officers (MARO). An Assistant Engineer, a Photographer, an Audio/Video Editor, and a Junior General Assistant also work in the unit.

The centre includes a graphic studio (which also serves as an analogue and digital audio video editing and recording studio), a mini archive/meeting room, a seminar room with a 75-seat capacity and audio-visual facilities, a photography room with a dark room for photograph processing, a multi-purpose studio, and a printing room with medium-scale printing facilities.

 

The following facilities are available:

Graphic studio (which also functions as an analogue and digital audio video editing and recording studio)

Small meeting / archive room

3.

Seminar room with 75 seats and audio-visual equipment.

4.

Photography studio, complete with a darkroom for photograph processing.

5.

Multipurpose studio

Printing room capable of printing on a medium scale.

Printing and publication services are provided for printed media.

Presentation and seminar facilities are available.

Mini archive (where videotapes / CDs / DVDs of events recorded at the Polytechnic, as well as printed publications, are kept)
