In our country, the history of counselling and guiding services began in 1962. Since then, the guiding and counselling services have seen several adjustments and advancements. Until date, advice and counselling services have been expanded at all levels, including ministries, departments, and educational institutions ranging from elementary school to university, and this service is synonymous with students. Recognizing the value of this support structure for students, the Counseling & Career Unit was developed to provide a variety of relevant services to students. |
Guidance and Counseling Goals: 1. Learn about yourself so that you may grow positively and maximize your potential. 2. Assist students in becoming physically, emotionally, spiritually, academically, and socially stable. 3. Empower the spirit, great desire, and noble temperament to achieve success in life. |
Guidance and counselling, as well as career assistance, are all available. Meeting with a therapist isn't as tough as you might assume. Simply show up at the counselling room. If the counsellor is on duty elsewhere, students can arrange an appointment or leave a message. Students can e-mail any message to the counsellor using a sophisticated information technology system, as long as it is reasonable in line with Malaysian society's culture, or contact the department's counselling coordinator and lecturers. Don't assume that we all know everything; sometimes we don't even know what we know. |
